.. make a simple choice!

Today, we live in a world where there seems to be little tranquillity. We chase around, stressing and wearing ourselves out, forever consuming. Sometimes, it looks as if we are competing against each other and ourselves. The rat race rushes on and moments of relaxation seem fewer and less spontaneous. So much to do, so many gadgets to master, look after and even worry about. Almost every one of us feels that this cannot continue. Our green and blue planet is being overloaded. Much of what we buy tears hard at the natural resources we all have to share. We simply must take the time to enjoy the world, relax and find oases in the daily “chase”.

That is why we manufacture boats. Aluminium boats. That is why, as early as 1980, we started using this material instead of plastic. Even then, Lars-Göran Linder realized the madness of manufacturing boats in reinforced plastic. It was creating a recycling problem that now haunts us. Reinforced plastic cannot even be burnt to provide energy. The fibreglass clogs the burners. In its turn, aluminium certainly does require a lot of energy when being produced from ore. However, it is then extremely energy-efficient when being recycled.

We reason as follows: waterways (lakes, seas, quiet rivers, whatever) provide settings where we can find tranquillity, relaxation and perhaps even moments of “oneness with nature”. We think they can be the oases we need and that a boat is a great way of enjoying them. It really is that simple!

However, we do know how difficult it can be to prioritise. Everything has a cost. This year, should I choose a boat or a longer package holiday? Should I buy that lovely large boat? The one with an engine that uses between 15 and 20 litres of fuel per 10 “land kilometres” at sea and which requires such a lot of maintenance? Or should I make a different choice?

In a material that lasts a very long time, Linder manufactures small boats, rowboats and planing boats of up to 4.6 meters in length. It is almost impossible to wear our boats out. They are also virtually maintenance-free. Not to mention light. Because they require less power for propulsion, their energy consumption is low – from 0.11 litres per sea mile for a 440 Fishing up to 0.38 litres for an Arkip 460. In other words, we believe that Linder makes the choosing and the deciding simple!

Perhaps there has never before been a time when the products we offer are so right. We still believe that you should treat yourself to a boat and all the experiences that this choice will bring you. Furthermore, we think that you should be able to make this decision without worrying about the impact on your wallet. Yes, we even feel that a Linder boat is a “lifetime and a lifestyle” choice. A wise choice not only for you, but also for our green and blue planet.

A Linder boat is almost 100 percent recyclable and already satisfies requirements that are to be imposed on producers in the future. Our boats are also a very good choice for the environment. They are made of a material that can be recycled using only 5 percent of the original production energy and which, in principle, will never wear out in the user’s lifetime. On top of this, their maintenance requires no aggressive chemicals. There is also no patching and mending if you happen to beach a little too vigorously. Finally, thanks to the low energy consumption, your finances also feel the benefit.

Welcome to Linder! We have boats for many different needs and situations. Common to them all is that they keep the choosing and the deciding simple!
